I worked on Svenska Bostäder's tenant app, built with React Native. The app makes everyday life easier for tenants and gives them access to more digital services. The assignment was part-time, around 10–25%, since the app was in maintenance and I worked on it when changes were needed. I was given the role of lead developer for the mobile app and was responsible for its whole lifecycle: DevOps in Azure, push notifications through Firebase, and publishing the app on Google Play and the App Store. I also helped out with full-stack work when needed, although that was not my main responsibility.

SLU, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, runs a large web platform on Optimizely (formerly Episerver) that is used by departments across the university. As part of the web team, I worked on modernizing the platform for performance, stability and security, with Optimizely 12, React and SQL Server on both the back end and the front end. The work included migrating from .NET Framework to .NET 8 and from Episerver to Optimizely, with a focus on a sustainable technical solution and a better structure and user experience. I also developed and maintained slu.se, the staff intranet and the student web, which together have millions of page views every year.

A side project where I build mobile apps with React Native and Expo, from one codebase for both iOS and Android. The idea is simple: create fun, innovative apps that help me with everyday tasks, and hopefully others too, and publish them along the way. Self-hosted home server
My homelab is a small home server with network-attached storage, set up as a self-hosted container platform: open-source services that work together over isolated Docker networks, all reachable securely from anywhere through Tailscale. It's my private cloud. My photo library lives here, along with my own DVD collection, which I stream through Jellyfin to any screen, at home or on the road. It also runs a shared PostgreSQL database for my projects and a sandbox where I sketch new ideas with Claude Code and try the running build from my phone or laptop. It's where I explore open-source tools and figure out how to make them work together.

Self-managed hosting platform
My own production server in the cloud, and the place where my projects go live. I set it up and maintain it myself, from the domain and DNS records to the containers, and I enjoy every part of keeping it running smoothly. Each app runs in its own Docker container behind Nginx Proxy Manager, which receives the traffic for my domains and routes every request to the right container. Every project has its own GitHub Actions pipeline: when I push to a branch, it builds a new Docker image, ships it to the server and replaces the running app, with no manual steps. This portfolio is deployed exactly that way. The server also runs SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases for smaller side projects that need one. Building and running all of this myself is how I keep learning how the whole chain fits together, from DNS to code in production.

The site you're looking at: my portfolio and CV, built as a static site with Gatsby, React and TypeScript and styled with Tailwind CSS, in English and Swedish. The code follows the Data-Driven Component Pattern: all content lives in typed data files, and the components only render the data they're given, so content and design can change independently. Every text has an English and a Swedish version, and TypeScript fails the build if a translation is missing. Gatsby builds one static page per language, and the light and dark themes are switched with CSS variables. Deployment is automated with GitHub Actions. Every push to the main branch starts a workflow that installs the dependencies, builds the site and packages it in a Docker image based on nginx. The workflow copies the image over SSH to my virtual server, using a key stored in GitHub Secrets, and replaces the running container. Nginx Proxy Manager sits in front of the container and routes the domain to it.
